Marvelwood and Kent's D&D Adventure
Dungeons & Dragons has been played for decades. Essentially, a group of people get together and have fun creating fantasy characters with rich backgrounds who then go on an adventure. Various dice are rolled to help to build the story and each roll affects the outcome of nearly every aspect of the game. The "roll of the dice" builds excitement. Characters succeed and characters perish, all in the name of fun. In a time where most people would prefer to communicate with their friends online, D&D has helped to bring back the social interaction that is enjoyed around a table of friends.
Last year, Faculty member Mike Cuff reached out to faculty at Kent School to bring together our students who share a mutual love of role-playing adventures. The combined group gets together several times during the school year, including this past Saturday. Faculty member and long-time D&D enthusiast Dennis White helped organized the event:
